2003-2004 Season • It's a Wrap!
In the 03/04 Season (from July 2003 to June 2004), 24th Street Theatre ran its first complete season in many years, featuring two mainstage productions: “Kate Crackernuts” and “Mirror Mirror.” The season was rounded out with the popular “Saturday Explorer Series,” the “Intersections Music Series,” Brendan Fraser’s celebrity fundraiser, and the first full year of the Teatro Nuevo Latino Theatre Initiative.

24th Street Theatre also featured many other artistic events such as the workshop production of Theatre Movement Bazaar’s “Dry Cleaning,” “My Mobster,” and the LA Future Project for young audiences. This former carriage house also held many excellent events in Gallery Two Four and hosted guest productions from some of LA’s hottest theatre companies, including Circle X Theatre Company and About Productions. As always, 24th Street Theatre held many Arts Education workshops and events such as the Teaching As a Performing Art workshops for LAUSD, HeArt Project residency with at-risk teens, Poseidon School workshops for at-risk teens, and the school field trip assemblies for nearly 1,000 3-5th graders from Norwood Elmentary School. 24th Street Theatre also provided free after school theatre arts enrichment to local students twice a week from September through June during the After ’Cool Program.

24th Street Theatre rounded out last year with numerous community events, including the annual Halloween and Christmas parties, and hundreds of days of open green carriage doors.
