Inner City Arts/24th STreet Theatre Workshop

24th STREET PARTNERS WITH INNER CITY ARTS!

24th STreet Theatre is proud to announce our newest partnership with Inner-City Arts (ICA)!  ICA and 24th STreet have partnered to introduce the free Inner-City Arts/24th STreet Theatre workshop for High School students, on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-6:30. Taught by 24th STreet’s Artistic Director, Debbie Devine, this 10-week workshop, taking place in both locations (the Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts and 24th STreet Theatre), allows students to experience the rigor and elements of creating live theater, acting, movement, writing, designing and directing. The emphasis for this 10-week series is on the creation of original work within an ensemble. The opportunity to work in both theater spaces has the students exploring how an ensemble must adapt to their environment and how the space itself can inform the creation of the art.  So it’s an opportunity for teens to work in two of LA’s best theatre venues, with two of LA’s best Arts Education organizations.  It’s also an opportunity for two great non-profits to form a lasting partnership that benefits the kids they serve.
