24TH STREET THEATRE’s PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS 24th Street Theatre’s TEACHING AS A PERFORMING ARTS Professional Development workshops are like no other, allowing educators to train on the stage of a professional theatre where the power of live music, lighting, and sound is used to help Teachers experience themselves as artists! 24th Street Theatre customizes content for all TAPA workshops. Of the hundreds of TAPA workshops we have created for thousands of teachers nationwide, no two TAPA workshops have ever been exactly the same. We also customize content for grade level. Principals and coordinators can request a 3-hr workshop or a full-day 6-hr session, or even a 2-Day session. TAPA teaches educators how to integrate basic performance techniques in the everyday classroom to make their job more rewarding and creative and to make their students better and more enthusiastic learners. Below are some other variations on our TAPA PD workshops. APOLLO THIRTEEN; TECHNICAL THEATRE FOR DUMMIESRecommended for all elementary teachers. This workshop uses everyday items to turn your classroom into a performance space. Making simple yet theatrical production values in your everyday classroom is easier than you might think. BANNED ART IN THE CLASSROOMRecommended for all middle and high school teachers.
