AFTER 'COOL THEATRE PROGRAM
224th Street Theatre’s after school theatre arts enrichment program, "After 'Cool" is taught by Los Angeles’ most qualifed teaching artists AND is FREE to our neighborhood students. Please call the theatre then to sign up at (213) 745-6516. This program is sponsored by USC.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
224th Street theatre is dedicated to our diverse community. We host many community events throughout the year, including our Annual Halloween Block Party and Dia De Los Muertos events, which serve over 1,000 local families. And our Teatro Nuevo program features free spanish-language plays for the community every summer.

THEATRE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES
224th Street Theatre creates cutting-edge theatre which challenges young audiences with sophisticated themes. Our cinematic visual approach to storytelling has been described as “Adult theatre for children...and children’s theatre for Adults.”

SATURDAY EXPLORER SERIES
224th Street Theatre’s sophisticated flagship series has introduced thousands of families to internationally-acclaimed theatre artists, singers, dancers, storytellers, and musicians. This eclectic series recruits performance artists to create their first works for young audiences. Among the many performance artists we’ve presented are Dan Froot, Sara Felder, Jude Narita, Dan Kwong, Denise Uyehara, Bennett Schneider, and Paul Zaloom.
