DIRECTOR'S NOTES
“God is love,” my mother used to tell me. She was my first teacher and first teachers leave deep impressions. All of my life, I have believed that love has enormous power — more power than hate and certainly more power than envy.
In these extraordinary times, when envy, hatred, threat and human weakness link us to the past, 24th Street Theatre’s 2003-04 Season of Classic Fairy Tales reflect the world today. First, it was “Kate Crackernuts” and now “Mirror Mirror.”
The deeply creative artistic team of “Mirror Mirror” has collaborated to birth a sophisticated new version of Snow White, a classic fairy tale about self-destruction, for audiences of all ages to enjoy together. For in these extraordinary times, love seems to be an answer.
