1. Onstage - Hurry! FOUR DERVISHES closes August 8th

Our good friends at Ghost Road Theatre Company return for a run of their new original production, "Four Dervishes."

"Magical...holds the promise of being something quite transcendent and glorious...Recommended" - L.A. Weekly

"A highly ambitious and extremely fascinating performance piece, energized by Al-Aqeel's score, extremely clever and innovative design efforts throughout, and deeply sincere work from the ensemble" - Backstage West

"Critic's Pick" - Entertainment Today

There are only TWO MORE performances left for Ghost Road Company's latest ensemble-devised work. Must close August 8th. Don't miss out. This work is at once thought-provoking, funny, touching, and haunting. Elements of the ancient Sufi text, Tale of the Four Dervishes, mix with a British spy and scholar who actually existed (Richard Francis Burton) and an Islamic legend who may or may not have (Al-Khidr) and three American soldiers of our own devising. "Four Dervishes" will speak to everyone in different ways and you won't be sorry you came. Friday and Sunday at 8pm. Call (310) 281-8341 for tickets.  Visit Ghost Road Company's website to see stills and read more about the show. Please join us.

Conceived & directed by Katharine Noon, devised and written by Tamadhur Al-Aqeel & Katharine Noon.

"FOUR DERVISHES" is performed by Robert Patrick Brink, David Conner, Patty Cornell, Angela Kang, Laura Pruden, Amber Skalski, Brian Weir, and Ronald E. Wingate, Jr.

Every year our friends at USC come for four hours to help us paint, clean, and restore the theatre to it’s original luster.  We welcome community members to join in on the fun too. Saturday, August 21, 2004 10am-2pm.  So wear your dirty clothes and come help us get LA's coolest theatre even cleaner, nicer and cooler.
