— Backstage West

Our Critic’s Choice season opener, KATE CRACKERNUTS, by Sheila Callaghan has been EXTENDED! It’s a brilliantly insane script by Callaghan, one of America’s rising star playwrights. It’s a heartbreaking, hot, sexy, hilarious, poignant, gritty, dark fairy tale! Don’t be fooled by the words: Fairy Tale. Yes, we do lots of edgy work for young audiences, but KATE IS NOT A SHOW FOR CHILDREN! It delves into the wild world of Raves and is quite sexual. So lock the kids away for this one, get a babysitter and come ready for a theatrical adventure!

We are thrilled to be working with our longtime pal, Jessica Kubzansky, who is directing this huge show for us. You’ll understand why we say it’s a huge show when you see it; really a world unto itself. If you don’t know Jessica’s razor sharp directing work, then you’re in for a treat! We are also blessed with a crack design team and an absolute dream cast!
Even the CRITICS are RAVING!

Critic’s Choice
— LA TIMES

BRENDAN FRASER—BEHIND THE SCENES

Actor Brendan Fraser’s photo exhibit Behind the Scenes is currently in 24th Street’s lobby gallery, Gallery Two Four and is extended thru Nov. 23rd. Brendan has very generously offered to sell his works and donate all proceeds to 24th Street. (He’s not only a great actor but a GREAT GUY!) So buy one of Brendan’s wonderful photos and help raise money for 24th Street...an offer you can’t refuse. Brava to our gallery curator, Norma C. Smith, who has put this cool exhibit together, along with her partner David Smith. Thanks, also, to Mikki Pallas.
