24th STreet Theatre Presents the U.S. Premiere Stage Production of

Winter’s Bench

Can trees talk?

In Olivier-Award-winning playwright Mike Kenny’s world premiere, Winter’s Bench, an old woman believes they can. She has returned, after many years, to a dilapidated, abandoned park where all the trees are logged but one. It’s ancient. And she is certain it spoke to her once. The tree being the only witness left to her childhood, she has something urgent to ask it.

In this sophisticated, profound and funny play, Kenny examines the relationship between nature and humans. And the role our memories play in understanding who we were and who we’ve become.
